When I see Raquel working in her studio like this, I wonder if her thoughts are, “The process is as important as the artwork.” Her response to my wonderment is simply, “The process of a work is long and deep, begins in each moment amanecemos and even when we rest. The process of a work is not always the best but the search experience, research, explore and discover everyday spaces in that space had an angel to be trapped and taken to the canvas, paper or sculpture. The process is often chaotic and ordered when our hands take a pencil or a brush and there in the act of creating a work begins a beautiful way in which the artist discovers the wonder of art and is the time in which the artist thanks for this gift of life”
Raquel Sarangello is devoted to combining the strong outline and vivacious colors to show a daily reality of prominent figures of melancholy faces and simple happiness that penetrates the threshold of the soul of the observer. “The art is for my space where the freedom is absolute, where I meet the escencia of the things and the feelings mas deep of the being, where the only one time is the fact that I mark the paintbrush or where the mud decides where there should stay. The glasses with which I construct my sculptures and to create or to recreate the life in a linen, in a paper or in a sculpture, is the most sublime act along that I have passed in this life. Thanks to the life because it has given me the gift of the art.”
